American Martial Arts Academy
Little Ninja Success Story
Even before Dominic was born, one of our goals for him
was to become a Black Belt in the Martial Arts. We had wanted him to
be able to defend himself if necessary, and has wanted him to learn
discipline and respect at an early age. Karate, we believed, was one
way to help develop these characteristics.
When we decided to enroll him at age 5, our first and
last stop was American Martial Arts Academy. We felt that this was a
place where the values we were teaching Dominic would be reinforced.
His and our goal was for him to become a Black Belt. We knew that it
would require commitment, hard-work, and discipline. Being a Black
Belt would require tremendous effort, but it would be worth it.
Dominic has worked extremely hard and been very committed as he has
made his journey to Black Belt.
We have watched his discipline and focus improve as he
has advanced from "locking-it-up" to understanding that he has to
control himself and be respectful. We have been amazed at his
progress and maturity physically as well as mentally. When he first
began, we were amazed at the katas the upper ranks were
performing, and wondering if he could ever be that good. Over the
past three years, we have been very impressed by all he has learned,
and the skill level he has achieved at such a young age. Now, as a
future Black Belt, Dominic can be someone other students can look up
to.
